Resumen
En esta nota corta documentamos un evento de anidación inusual de la Golondrina Manglera (Tachycineta albilinea) en el sitio RAMSAR Embalse de Cerrón Grande, El Salvador. Sorprendentemente, encontramos un nido en el techo de una lancha. Realizamos un seguimiento detallado del nido, especialmente documentando la eclosión de los pichones, el cuidado parental y el éxito reproductivo.
Abstract
We present here our observations of an unusual nesting event of Mangrove Swallow (Tachycineta albilinea) in the RAMSAR site Embalse de Cerrón Grande, El Salvador. Surprisingly, we found a nest of a T. albilinea in the roof of a boat. We monitored this nest and report here our observations, which include hatching, parental feeding behavior and reproductive breeding success.
